Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost TV show. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. They were struggling to survive at the time she landed her first part in the acting world in the film Rachel's Room's main character. The television film Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 and she shared a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) with her. Leaving the series Grace would like to be as a film actress, and had played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The actress has also appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these roles. Grace played Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. She portrays Faith who is both the star-gazer and a groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her acting career started as an early teenager, with small parts in a few films directed that her father directed. She also worked with her brother in 2001's popular film Donnie Darko. In 2002, she starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a drama) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. In 2006, she had a number of commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008).
