Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. In the late 80s when she started her acting career, and was famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil where she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. As a child, the Mumbai-born dancer began learning at an early stage. She started acting when young and fought for a few years as many of her early film projects were unsuccessful. Eventually she became one the top actresses from Indian film. After her marriage, she took a hiatus in her professional career. She returned later. Recently, she played an important performance on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given to civilians in India is bestowed to her. She is also known for her charitable works.
